DetailsPandoro (pan d'oro) is a traditional Christmas and New Year’s Eve Italian sweet yeast bread. Typically from Verona, this “golden bread” has been served in Venetian palaces since the 17th Century and enjoyed at the end of the meal with sparkling wine. Serve topped with a warm custard crème, or cut a hole in the bottom, remove part of the interior and fill with vanilla gelato or Chantilly crème.
