Rustichella d’Abruzzo introduces ZeroTre, a new line of pastina for the youngest pasta eaters. Maria Stefania Peduzzi, owner of Rustichella d’Abruzzo along with her brother, Gianluigi, is also the owner of two independent and highly progressive preschool and elementary schools in her hometown. At the schools, the children work in the vegetable garden, eat wholesome foods and learn all about the traditional foods of Abruzzo. Maria Stefania’s work with these kids was the inspiration for developing this very special line of nutritious pastine with Rustichella d’Abruzzo. In Italy, Anelletti (small rings) and Alfabeto (alphabet) are some of the first pasta that children learn how to eat. Together with her husband, Giancarlo d’Annibale, Maria Stefania developed a new recipe to enrich the Stelline (small stars) and Rigatoncini (small tubes) with a vegetable purée of carrot, pumpkin and tomato. Maria Stefania also created the Mezzelune (small half moons) with corn flour for those seeking a gluten-free pastina.
