This excellent Brie is made with 60% cream, which gives it a rich, smooth flavor. This soft cow’s cheese is made just right, not too fat or too lean. Our Henri Hutin Brie is mild, sweet, and perfectly ripe, a natural companion to crusty baguettes and crisp champagne. Try it with berries or sweet chutneys. Serve this brie cool, room temperature or bake it for a tasty appetizer. Brie is named after the French region from which it originates. It is a slightly pale color under a white rind. The rind is typically ingested as well, whose flavor quality depends largely upon the ingredients used in manufacturing.
Etiquette: When sharing Brie with a group of people, it is advised that one takes their slice along the radius of the cheese. To remove the tip from a wedge of brie is known as “pointing the Brie” and is regarded as poor form. The white outside of the cheese is wholly edible and many eat Brie whole.
